Why do I always come up with shit to write about when I should be in bed sleeping?
Then I can't stop thinking about it until I get up and type it out of my brain. WTF?
So I THINK that I'm done blogging for the night, I go to change into my standard nighty (T-shirt) and I decide to wash my face. With soap.
What's the big whoop you ask?
Well, the big whoop is that I do not routinely wash my face before bed. Do not judge me. Do not judge for lest ye thee be judged or some shit like that.
I don't. I've always been bad about that. I know I should and yet I don't.
Sure, I buy all the goop. All the facial foams, exfoliating scrubs, deep cleaning masks, refreshing toners and such. I've even got a good old fashioned bottle of Oil of Olay under my sink somewhere.
But do I use them on a regular basis?
Nope.
I am diligent for a good two days or so before I say, "Aw, fuck it." and climb straight into bed instead.
But you know what I just love about blogging?
It's that I can put something like that out there, and a bunch of you will come back and say, "You know what C? Me too. Wash your face? Who the hell washes their face every night? Not me I tell ya. Not me. I am a blogger and I don't wash my face every single night before bed and you are not alone in your facial grossness."
And I thank you for that. Hell. I salute you for that! And I thank thee for your support.
Me and my confused cause it's washed face are going to bed now.
Going to the Ronald Reagan Museum tomorrow with the fams.

You are right! Hell fuck no do I wash my face before bed. I love waking up looking like a gawd damn racoon. Sometimes, I don't even wash it first thing the next morning. Personally, I think it's a scam. Tried that routine before and it didn't change anything about my skin. I'd rather use those five minutes to lay in bed thinking about blog fodder or getting in a quickie!

Oh and I do wash my face every night. Only because I am usually chocolate smeared and lollipop sticky (you know, from all those nutritional snacks I feed the kids)
I wash my face faithfully. But my bff has never ever washed her face and she has the smoothest complexion in the world. It's not fair.

Anyhoo, I get lazy too BUT when I am in the shower trying to wake up in the morning I really enjoy washing my face with an exfoliating scrub that smells like fruit. Have a great 4th freak.
I use to no wash my face before going to bed. UNTIL, I turned 36 and started breaking out!!! UGH! Now, 2 years later and several hundreds of dollars spent at the dermatologist and on medications...I was my face faithfully every night!!!!
I totally don't do it either most of the time... until my face gets a zit like a 14 year old, then I'll do it for 2 nights thinking I'm all fucking mighty with rituals...
but then I pour the wine the next night, and there ain't no way the mighty ritual sticks.
Haha! I used to be faithful about it, but now it's about 50/50.

I don't either, unless I'm wearing a ton of eye makeup. That's pretty rare so the face washing doesn't happen very often at night. I do wash my face in the shower though.

Also- I must say the I never wash my face with soap and water. Nor do I moisturize. I do use some eye cream once in a while ...

I wash my face only when I shower and I never use soap. Never have. And you know what? When I do...I break out. I think faces are delicate and sensitive and there is too much shit out there that people are trying to get us to put on. And I don't like it.
You're supposed to wash your face every night before bed? I must have missed that lesson! LOL I too have all the crap under the sink...I think every 5 years I get rid of some of it!

I never take off my makeup or wash my face before bed. I have heard over and over again how damaging this is to your skin. Oh well. I just plain suck at this too.

So before they invented perm lipstick, everyone knew who did or didn't wash their faces....It still freaks PhxMan out, that my hair is all sticking out but my lipstick is perfect! LOL

Now I don't know if you'll even believe me, but I NEVER wash my face before bed, even if I'm wearing makeup! of course, this could be the reason why my face is full of pimples, eh?

See, this is why I think baby wipes are the greatest invention ever. Because seriously--I don't wash my face every single night, even though I should. But I feel particularly proud of myself if I remember to grab a baby wipe--and swipe off the mascara and eyeliner before it can migrate to my pillow whilst slumbering.

Ever since I tried a stint of selling Mary Kay about 10 years ago....I wash my face every night. The damn lady said to me that if I didn't, it was like sleeping in dirt on my pillow case every night. So it stuck with me and now I just have to do it. So....I totally respect your liberated ways and just think how much better ya'll will look if we have some sort of emergency in the middle of the night!
I try to make it a routine, but works for 2 to 3 days tops. I work full time and I'm tired when I get home. I should pamper myself more.. but... I did talk with a dermatologist about what to use and he (yes, it was a man, so...? eh... does that count?).. he sighed and said, "Women feel like they need to scrub and wash and put all sorts of stuff on their face. Just use soap and water."
